Your users save with you. They leave to send it abroad.

Getting paid by family abroad, or sending money out, still happens in someone else's app.

Money from family goes around you

A sister abroad sends through a remittance app. The money lands somewhere else, and your user moves it in by hand.

Users leave to send abroad

Paying rent in Nairobi or a shop on Alipay means opening another app. Each exit is a user you may not get back.

The rate shows up after the tap

Users confirm a transfer, then see less leave their balance than they expected. Your support team takes the complaint.

Accounts, transfers and rates, inside your app.

Nilos runs the accounts, the payouts and the quotes by API. Your app shows them under your brand.

USD and EUR accounts for your users' money.

Open USD and EUR accounts in your company's name by API. Family or clients abroad pay in, and a webhook tells your app which user balance to credit.

  • USD accounts and EUR IBANs
  • Credit the balance on each Incoming transaction webhook
  • Keep dollars or convert at a quoted rate

Users send abroad without leaving your app.

Users pick a bank account, a mobile wallet or Alipay. Nilos pays out in 100+ local currencies, from NGN over NIP to KES on M-Pesa.

  • M-Pesa and mobile money wallets
  • CNY to Alipay and to bank accounts in mainland China
  • Bank accounts in 180+ countries over SWIFT
  • A webhook per step for in-app status

Users see the rate before they confirm.

Your app asks for a quote before each transfer, so the confirm screen shows the rate and the rail fee. You fund one balance in any of 20+ local currencies.

}
// rate and rail fee for the confirm screen

GET /v1/quote/{id}
// read it back when the user taps confirm

POST /v1/payout/transfer
// sent once the user confirms

Money in, money out,and the user stays.

Family abroad pays into your account, with the user's reference. The user sends to M-Pesa, Alipay or a bank from your app, and sees the rate first.

User accounts live in your appabout six weeks after we start.

Your engineers spend about two weeks on the build. We run compliance onboarding in those same weeks.

  1. Pick the features

Tell us which accounts, inbound countries and payout rails your users need. We send the rate card and document list.

  2. Onboard

We run KYB on your company. Where you are regulated, we agree how reliance covers your users' KYC.

  3. Build into the app

Wire account creation, quotes, payouts and webhooks into your app. About two weeks of work.

  4. Pilot

Open accounts for a small group of users. Receive, convert and send real money end to end.

  5. Release

Ship the feature to all users, one market at a time.

What wallet teams askbefore they ship to users.

Will the account show our user's name, or ours?

It depends on the local rail. Where an account is in Nilos's name, each user gets a unique reference, so each deposit still matches the right balance.

Can family abroad pay straight into the wallet?

Yes, into the user's USD account or EUR IBAN. An Incoming transaction webhook tells you to credit the balance.

Can our users send money to Alipay?

Yes. CNY reaches Alipay and bank accounts in mainland China.

Where does our users' money sit?

In segregated client accounts at licensed partner banks. EU accounts run through an EMI partner authorised by De Nederlandsche Bank.

Tell us where your users send and receive. We'll map the accounts and rails.

Send your markets and the corridors your users ask for. We'll reply with rails, the rate card and the documents we need.
